VCSF Supports Spring Community Events

The Foundation provided financial support and administration to two recent community events - Unplugged Palooza Family Fun Night and Voorheesville Family Bicycling Day.

Unplugged Palooza Family Fun Night was held on May 4th in celebration of Screen-Free Week which is an annual invitation to play, explore, and rediscover the joys of life beyond ad-supported screens for entertainment. Community members gathered at the Swift Rd. Town Park play games, read books, explore the StoryWalk®, participate in hands-on STEAM activities, and enjoy companionship and conversation. The weather was perfect, and everyone had a wonderful screen-free time!

Held annually on the first Sunday of June in the Village of Voorheesville, Voorheesville Family Bicycling Day is a safe, free, and family-friendly day of bicycling and fun for the whole family. The June 5th event featured live music, a bike clinic, traveling farm animals, food vendors, games, raffles and more. We look forward to next year’s event!
